WHO WE ARE
The resources made available on this site were developed by researchers, Rafael Calvo and Dorian Peters (Imperial College London and University of Cambridge). Most of this work is done with colleagues in psychology, philosophy and other fields.
We believe all technologies should support psychological wellbeing. As such, we do research that can inform and change design practice. We want to enable technology makers to design in ways that better support psychological needs. |
THE BIGGER PICTURE
We also know that wellbeing impact is about more than immediate user experience. That's why we developed the Spheres of Technology Experience to highlight the bigger picture.
That's also why we work with colleagues on other aspects of responsible technology for health and wellbeing, for example on supporting human autonomy and cultural richness in human-AI interactions and on participatory methods for just and sustainable futures. |
WHERE WE AREOur work is conducted at the Wellbeing Technology Lab, a research lab within the Dyson School of Design Engineering at Imperial College London. We are also part of the Leverhulme Centre for the Future of Intelligence, a centre for research on the nature, ethics and impact of Artificial Intelligence which is based at the University of Cambridge.
