The Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE) at Stanford, in collaboration with Facebook, 1440 Foundation, HopeLab, and The Dalai Lama Foundation will be hosting an inaugural one-day Compassion and Technology Conference. Surely an incredible opportunity for those interested in how technology might support wellbeing, and in particular factors and practices related to empathy, compassion and altruism.The conference will also incorporate a contest in which "inventors, engineers and designers (who applied and were invited to participate as finalists) will present their technological designs for compassion-inspired applications and compete for best design idea".
