CHI takes on design for wellbeing

The Interaction Design and Emotional Welbeing workshop at CHI 2012 was a "one-day workshop [bringing] together a diverse community of researchers, to share expertise and consolidate existing knowledge on interaction design and emotional wellbeing."  The motivation behind the workshop is based on the notion that "technologies that can effectively support emotional wellbeing are likely to offer significant benefits, both for individuals and for society as a whole".  With a  strong foundation in mental health research, the workshop brought together a wide variety of papers now available from their website. 1. I hear about this from the therapy clapham office and I personally think that an active participation from health offices and other private institutions can exponentially make this research easier. It can benefit all of us, after all.
